WORKING AT KUMASI

The idea for Kumasi arose when Lars Gierveld and Jochem Pinxteren made a documentary about the cocoa industry in West Africa. They investigated why there is still so much poverty, child labor and deforestation in West Africa, and saw the dark side behind our chocolate. But they also looked at how things could be done differently. They saw and tasted a great opportunity in a cocoa residual product.
